WASHINGTON COUNTY – Firefighters put out a brush fire that burned 25.6 acres earlier today in the Snow Canyon State Park area.
Officials said the fire was started by a car, and while it grew rapidly, there was no danger to structures or people.
St. George News reporter was on scene to take pictures and said the fire looked worse than it was because of its proximity to the road. Officials directed traffic in the area but did not shut down the roads.
Dispatch states he fire is now contained and crews remain on scene to clean up and put out the hot spots.

I wonder if the fire trucks were required to pay the entrance fee or if they have an annual pass.
