CEDAR CITY – The Cedar City Downtown Retail Alliance & Cedar City Events proudly present’s the Rockin’ Downtown Nights 2011 Concert Series on June 4th. The concert features Rolling Stone National Cover contest finalist Fictionist, Los Angeles based rockers The Shakers, local rockers Erik the Red, plus free live music by Basement Retro Underground, Katy and the Raccoons and Juniper City. The concert will take place from 3 to 10 p.m. at the Heritage Theater, located in the heart of Cedar City’s downtown at 105 N 100 East.
According to Mark Baruffi, Downtown Retail Alliance vice president, “This is a great line up of bands, especially our headliners Fictionist. These guys just finished an incredible run in the Rolling Stone Cover Contest -a testament to the their fantastic talent”
Tickets are on sale now online for $10 at www.rockindowntownnights.eventbrite.com . However, the Downtown Retail Alliance is also offering a TWO FOR ONE ticket deal at participating downtown retailers; A Mane Attraction, Braun Books, Bulloch Drug, Hill Sports or Groovacious Music Store.
The concert series is part of revitalization plan recently established by the Cedar City Redevelopment Agency to improve the economic vitality of Cedar City’s Downtown. City Events Coordinator, Byron Linford said “ More musical acts will be scheduled throughout the year in an effort to bring more people and nightlife to the downtown.”
