ST. GEORGE – Jared Rosado was on his way home from work yesterday evening when he came across an accident that would stay with him forever. A man who had been long boarding on 900 South and St. George Boulevard had lost control of the board and was seriously injured.

“He was breathing heavily from his nose,” Rosado said. “He was unresponsive.”

Rosado and another person who was present began to clear the victim’s airway.

“All we could do is hold his hand and try to keep him aware till paramedics arrived. Just before arrival he stated his name and indicated where he hurt. This was our first sign of hope.”

Rosado said the victim was transported by ambulance with a massive head injury. However, he was able to follow up with the victim’s family today and learned the man suffered a broken collarbone and a concussion, but did not sustain life-threatening injuries.
