ST. GEORGE – The Dixie State College Dance Company, under the direction of DSC Director of Dance Dr. Li Lei, will present its annual 2011 Spring Dance Concert on Thursday and Friday, April 21-22, at 7:30 p.m., in the Dolores Dore’ Eccles Fine Arts Center Main Stage Theatre on the Dixie State College campus.
The DSC Dance Company, which was established in 2001, features 19 of the best student dancers the College has to offer. The talented ensemble will perform different genres of dance, including ballet, modern, world, hip hop, tap, ballroom and jazz. According to Dr. Lei, both faculty members and students work to choreograph creative and inspiring movements and pieces that convey emotion and themes to not only entertain, but to educate.
Tickets are now available for purchase through the DSC Avenna Center Ticket Office, or online at “tickets.dixie.edu,” for $12 for adults, $10 for seniors and youth 17-under, and $2 for DSC students, faculty and staff with current ID. For tickets and further information, please call 435-652-7800.
