ST. GEORGE – St. George is again the host to another Disney production; scenes have been shot in some of the city’s well-known locations like the old airport and Dixie Rock.
A few weeks ago fliers were posted at Dixie State College with information on becoming a paid extra for a Disney Chanel production. Many were chosen and the filming “Guide to Life” began in Southern Utah on Monday.
The movie is a Christmas Holiday movie and will premier sometime in November. Producer Martias Alvares is no stranger to Southern Utah; he was an Assistant Director on the popular “High School Musical” which was also filmed in St. George in 2007.
Today the production is shooting at Dixie Rock and will continue to do so for the rest of the day. Tomorrow is the last day of shooting and the crew will be shooting at the same location all night.

Thanks for posting this! I drove by them filming tonight on the way to a movie and couldn’t figure out exactly what was going on. This was the only shred of information on the web after Googling it..
There is a lot of information about it on the web Alex, google for Disney’s Good Luck Charlie movie/Utah. I even found the casting call for extra’s.
This casting was a blast to do it. If anyone is ever interested in being an extra, and/or when the next Disney film or television show is filming, our office would be happy to give you the information. We can also provide the information necessary for you to become an extra on such projects.
