POMONA, Calif. – After taking three of four from UC San Diego, Cal State L.A. once again captured the No. 1 ranking in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) West Region poll released Monday.

The Golden Eagles, holding the most conference wins in the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) at 15, edged Chico State by one point in this week’s poll. The teams received three first-place votes each. Sonoma State and UCSD remain close behind at No. 3 and No. 4 respectively.
