ST. GEORGE – A 34-year-old St. George woman was arrested on six third-degree felony charges and multiple misdemeanors after she allegedly stole checks from three different people and used them at local stores.
Officer Johnny Heppler said the woman was identified in a line up after video surveillance was retrieved from local stores.
Heppler said the woman allegedly forged several checks and passed them on to local businesses. The investigation is still ongoing, and how much money she may have stolen has not been determined. Heppler also could not say how she received the stolen checks, but said she may have known at least one of the victims.
