ST. GEORGE – InfoWest is making a big difference in how college students are using the web.
Last month, apartments near Dixie State College and Utah Valley University upgraded to fiber optic services from InfoWest.
InfoWest Vice President Randy Crosby said, “Each network is individually designed to meet the needs of the apartment managers and the student tenants. This includes innovative customer support and custom Internet filtering, which automatically prevents tenants from accessing pornography and illegal content.”
Managers of off-campus apartment complexes like Raintree and Canyonlands in St. George are hoping to become the first choice for student housing because of the superior internet connection.
“Adding student apartment complexes to the fiber ring will allow us to keep up with the growing needs of their bandwidth-hungry tenants,” Cosby said.
