Suspect Named in Double Homicide

WASHINGTON CITY – Richard Jones was officially named a suspect in the murder of his wife Michelle and his step son, Owen “Christopher” Ellis, the Washington City Department of Public Safety announced today in a press conference.

An arrest warrant was issued for Jones who is recovering at the University Medical Center in Las Vegas. Jones remains in critical condition from a self inflicted gun shot wound, police said.

Jones is being charged with two counts of aggravated murder, both first-degree felonies, for allegedly shooting his step son before turning the gun on his wife at their home on Wagon Wheel and Frontier the evening of Feb. 18.
