Officers arrest two on drug charges at Pine View Middle School

ST. GEORGE – Two men were arrested on drug charges after officers approached a suspicious vehicle in the Pine View Middle School parking lot, 100 North and 2145 East around 2:30 a.m. this morning.

Officer Johnny Heppler said the vehicle and its occupants seemed out of place given the time and location, so officers observed them from a distance, undetected. Officers watched as the occupants exited the vehicle and went to the trunk. One suspect was wearing latex gloves, Heppler said.

Heppler said that as the officers approached the men, one of the males dropped a syringe on the ground. Officers then began to investigate them for drugs. A K-9 indicated on the vehicle and it was searched. Suspected marijuana, methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia was discovered. The two men were booked into jail on drug charges.
