HENDERSON, NEV. – Toys “R” Us and Babies “R” Us are working with the Make a Wish Foundation to help cover medical costs for Cortney Hendley of Henderson, Nev., who has been battling cervical cancer for over two years. Hendley is the sister of Rachel Jordan, of Rachel’s Coffee in Washington.
 
For every receipt turned into the two stores, the businesses will donate 2 percent of the purchase amount to help Hendley cover the overwhelming medical and hospital bills. Receipts dated from Oct. 1, 2010 to Dec. 31, 2010 can be turned into Rachel’s Coffee, who will then pass them onto her sister. A copy of the receipt will also work, Jordan said.

Hendley is currently cancer-free, but because of the intensive radiation and chemotherapy, she now must undergo a new surgery in January to repair damage done to her spinal cord because of the treatments, Jordan said.
