ST. GEORGE – Those who wanted to know what it was like to walk the streets of 19th Century London during Christmas will have their chance this week at The Spectrum’s Dickens’ Christmas Festival.
 
The festival is a unique and entertaining experience just in time for the holidays. Guests wind through narrow village streets as they visit gift shops and meet the cast of Dickens’ characters such as Tiny Tim, Scrooge and Queen Victoria, according to the festival’s website, www.dickenschristmasfestival.com.
 
The Old English shops are decorated for the time period, as are the shop keepers. The festival offers two nightly plays: Oliver Twist at 6 p.m. and Scrooge at 8 p.m. Both plays are offered as a matinee on Saturday, with Oliver Twist at 1 p.m. and Scrooge at 3 p.m.
 
The festival begins today and runs through Saturday. Hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Admission includes entertainment and plays. Adults are $6 and seniors and children (4-12) are $4. Children 3 and under are free.
