Three Idaho residents arrested on felony drug charges in Hurricane

HURRICANE – Hurricane officers arrested two men and one female from Idaho Falls, Idaho, who were allegedly in the area with the intent to distribute methamphetamine.
 
Thirty-year-old Lynn Briggs, 29-year-old Jessica Johnson and 28-year-old Aaron Eck of Idaho Falls, were arrested on multiple drug charges, including possession of marijuana, under the influence of marijuana and intent to distribute.
 
Eck was also charged with a DUI.
 
Briggs was also charged with obstruction of justice, failer to stop for an officer and two out-of-state warrants.
 
According to Nancy Perkins, public relations officer for the Hurricane Police Department, an officer noticed a vehicle parked in a dark corner near the Texaco gas station on SR-9 with several people inside. When officers pointed their lights at the vehicle, Briggs allegedly took off running from the passenger seat.
 
Perkins said Eck stepped out the vehicle and officers noticed the smell of marijuana coming from the vehicle. Johnson stayed in the back seat and allegedly tried to hide a knife, drugs and paraphernalia.
