  • From Kolob Canyons Visitor Center to a peek into a beautiful slot canyon, this trek through the geological history of southern Utah serves as an introduction for beginning to mid-level geologists. Survey 800 million years of geologic activity that has shaped the transition zone between the Basin and Range provinces and the Colorado Plateau. Review basic geological theories as well as new cutting-edge ideas in this evolving field. Moderately paced hiking up to 4 miles. Limited to 11 participants.
