John A. Marconi of Henderson, Nevada, passed away on Sept. 26. He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on May 26, 1950, to Albert and Phyllis Marconi. John was married to Mary Ann (Anderson) Marconi of Mingo Junction, Ohio.
John lived in Bristol, Pennsylvania, for most of his life. He was a Union Millwright and a proud member of Local 1906. He graduated with a masters degree from Temple University and spent over twenty years as a Millwright Instructor at the Philadelphia Carpenters Apprentice Training Facility. Before retiring, John worked as a Technical Coordinator at the Carpenters International Training Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, for twelve years.
John is survived by his wife, Mary Ann of Henderson, Nevada; his children Matthew (Kendra), Nichole (Brian) and Elizabeth (Marco); grandchildren Lila, Nathan, Wyatt, Eli and Maxwell; brother David Marconi (Lorraine) and sister Lynn Marconi Jackowski (Robert).
John loved Philadelphia sports teams, Tastykakes, classic cars and most of all riding his Harley Davidson with his co-pilot Mary Ann. They logged thousands of miles and explored many beautiful parts of the country with family and friends. He loved his five grandchildren, and they adore their Pop. He was taken from us too soon, and he will be missed dearly. Look twice, save a life.
- A memorial service will be at noon on Saturday, Oct. 1, at Christ the Servant Lutheran Church in Henderson, Nevada.
